Since the Company’s beginnings in 1974, Osprey’s emphasis on quality is reflected in its rich history and the quality backpacks it continues to produce today. Osprey’s Daylite Plus is no exception. Originally created as an accessory for larger packs, its lightweight and versatile design has made a popular choice for many types of buyers.
Who is this product for?
Available in 8 colors, the Daylite Plus is appealing to both men and women. Its size makes it a good choice for everyday use, day trips, students, or as a travel carry-on bag. It can accommodate a laptop comfortably in the main compartment, but has no special protection and is not waterproof.
The Daylite Plus comes in 8 color choices: Real Red, Eggplant Purple, Black, Stone Grey, Sagebrush Blue, Tahoe Blue, Dark Blue Orange, or Primrose Yellow. With a weight of just 1.16 lb., it’s made of a lightweight nylon material that is both durable and water-resistant. Despite dimensions of only 18” L x 10” W x 9” D, the pack has a generous holding capacity of 20 liters.
As a carry-on, the Daylite Plus will fit under the seat in front of you if not filled to capacity. We also like the handy key clip, front zippered pockets, and dual mesh side pockets. The pack is hydration-ready and can handle either a 2.5L or 3L reservoir (sold separately).
The Daylite Plus also comes with Osprey’s amazing “All Mighty” Guarantee. All packs, regardless of age, will be repaired or replaced if not fixable. While the customer is responsible for submitting a repair request and paying to ship your backpack to a repair specialist in Colorado, Osprey will make the repair free of charge and pay return shipping to the customer.
Overview of Features
Features designed with comfort in mind include the mesh-covered back panel constructed with a slotted foam design for better ventilation. The spacer-mesh shoulder straps with an integrated carrying handle are also well-constructed and convenient. For maximum comfort, be sure to use Osprey’s fitting chart to pick the best pack for your body size and features.
The front “smash-down” pouch is another popular feature with users. It’s a quick and easy place to store and retrieve items like a windbreaker or trail snacks. Two handy mesh side pouches also provide easy and accessible storage. Keep smaller water bottles from falling out of the generous openings by using a diaper pin to make the opening smaller. The size of the padded main compartment will fit most laptops or tablets comfortably.
How to Get the Most From your Daylite Plus
The Daylite is water-resistant but not waterproof. Purchase an Osprey rain cover to protect your valuable contents from the elements. If you are in the market for an add-on pack, the Daylite Plus pairs with these other Osprey packs: + Aether/Ariel Series + Volt/Viva Series + Ace 75 + Shuttle Series + Sojourn Series + Farpoint 80 + Porter Series. To care for your Daylite Plus, do not place it in a washing machine. Rather, the manufacturer strongly recommends handwashing your backpack in a bathtub or large sink using mild soap and warm water.
