She can wear this down vest by itself in cold, dry conditions or as an insulating layer under a hardshell. Softball-size compression makes it easy to fit the Nuptse Vest in her backpack. The baffled construction keeps down from shifting and making cold spots, while a double layer of taffeta at the shoulders reduces wear and tear.
