Salomon designed the Women's Vitane 8 SC Comi Boot for women who might want to skate one day, and just cruise the next. Actually, you can change your mind mid-stride. The supportive articulated cuff gives you freedom of movement for a relaxing classic stride, and lateral control for a serious skate. An adjustable heel strap and a Sensifit skin around the foot allow for your custom fit. For the kind of cozy comfort normally regulated to your fuzzy slippers, Salomon outfitted the SC Comi Boot with an Autofit foam and fleece liner. Your feet will be delighted.

Overall the boots functioned excellently in moderately hilly terrain.
4 out of 5 for a score. The plastic outer portion of the boots takes a long time to conform to the shape of the ankle and heel; I would advise wearing the boots around the house to break them in. The boots are somewhat tight across the ball of the foot, and the ankle was too wide for my feet as well, despite the manufacturer's claim that the boots were fitted to a woman's shoe last. The side diagonal zipper worked very well, and overall the boots functioned excellently in moderately hilly terrain.

x-c ski boots
A definite improvement over my 16-year old pair. Be advised that the outer plastic portions of the boot that fit around the ankle need a long breaking-in time, so wear them around the house.
