CRKT Snap Fire Knife information:
Reviews:
Style & Function I bought this knife for my husband who works ski patrol at a local mountain. He needs a knife for work and is very picky about the ease of use. He also appreciates good design. This knife can be operated with one hand, and it looks great. He's very, very happy with it! Looks great but... The finish on the Snap Fire is great but to me it's more of a collectors item. It can be opened with one hand, but it feels awkward and slow. I recently purchased a Kershaw with the "spring" loaded blade, I love this knife. It opens with one finger! It's user friendly is my everyday knife. Good knife with a caveat I bought this knife a couple of months ago because it was supposed to be easy to use one handed. The photos of sort of make you think it would work with both hands equally well - but that is wrong. The knife is primarily designed to be operated with your right hand but I am left handed. What makes it difficult for lefties is that there are two wheels on the knife, but only one operates the blade, the other just spins. It's still a great knife and with some practice I think most southpaws will have little problem with it.
