Columbia beefed up the full-zip Ballistic Sweater with Hydro-Pel Plus reinforcements on the shoulders and elbows, where abrasion from your pack and branches is the most common. Made from MTR microfleece, this midweight jacket also comes with pitzips for ventilation when you're working hard, and an Ultra-Wick comfort collar that warms up you neck to and retains more heat than conventional designs. If you want a fleece that won't wear out after a season of hard use, this is the one.

Lovin' it, but...
This is a great jacket. I love the fitted style and that the inside of the sleeves are that slippery style so your shirts don't get all messed up when you put it on--a pet peeve of mine. My only complaint is the annoying zipper, which has to be at the exact right angle to work. It is not interchangeable with my Columbia windbreaker jacket. Regardless, I am happy I got it and have worn it every day this winter.

My girlfriend mentioned wanting a fleece, so I got her this one, she loves it. It's warm, comfortable, stylish, and Colombia is one of the best brands around, a great buy.

The shape of this is not slim. It's also white, and hard to launder.
